Are You High Maintenance??

I have one complaint about the Hard Candy Cosmetics line that is sold at Walmart… it’s the fact that it’s ONLY sold at Walmart… GRRRR
Is it just me or are people disgustingly rude when it comes to the cosmetics department at Walmart?  Every time I want to find a specific Hard Candy product I either can’t find it, because the display is a MESS, or it’s completely broken to bits.
I have been looking for the High Maintenance Baked Eyeshadow Due FOR MONTHS!!!  I finally found it today and I’m so happy I did… because it’s beautiful!!

Get Sunburned with Wet n Wild!!

Wet n Wild and I go way back... we are like old friends from way back in the Arbor Drugs days.

I remember walking up to the corner drug store with my moms $3 just to buy some cheap wet n wild makeup.  It made me feel so grown up that I could buy a hidious looking red lipstick that wasn't the greatest, or the blue eye shadow that I had NO clue how to apply.

Fast-forward about 20 years and Wet n Wild is and always has been one of my favorite brands of makeup.  I LOVE the eye shadows, nail polish, lipsticks and blushes!!  They have really come around in my eyes over the years... the pigmentation is wonderful and totally rivels all the higher end brands like Mac, Make up forever, Nars, Benifit and even NYX (even though I love me some NYX)

Usually the only stores I could fine Wet n Wild in were CVS, Walgreens and Rite Aid... But NOW my Walmart has stocked up on the line.  I also discovered today that the new stores Five Below have it as well (I'm not sure is the actual brand of store is new, but here in my area they just opened 6 brand new stores and I've never heard of it before... *breath*)

On to the Pictures and Swatches!!

Giorgio Armani - Eyes to Kill Intense

I have discovered a new obsession with anything in a pot... specifically if it's for the eyes.
So naturally I had to buy and try the Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill line.  I knew as soon as this beautifulness entered my line of vision that I had to own at least one… Even at $32 per pot… eeeekkk!!!

So low and behold I swatched em, fell in love with them all, but only bought one.

Review: Maybelline Fit Me! Liquid Foundation

(Sorry about the poor picture quality... these were taken with my phone)

What this product claims:*Matches Natural skin tone
*Blends seamlessly
*Lets skin breath

My Thoughts;

I would have to agree with these claims!
This foundation is quickly becoming one of my all time favorite foundations…
-The shade I have is 115 and it also has an SPF of 18

After I bought this but before I tried it… I looked to YouTube for reviews.
I came across some that rated this very high (dry skin people) and very low (for my oily sisters)

I have to say that I fell in love with this product… It goes on very smooth and blends like a dream! If you like a light to medium foundation then this might be worth checking out.

I also found that I could build the coverage a little bit. But be careful, because if you try to over build, it will start to look cakey.

I have oily skin… I always have an issue with my face "eating" foundation that I apply… lol

The lasting power with this isn't the greatest… it won't be considered a long wearing foundation. I found that setting it with powder will help it last for at least a whole work day (with a few minor touch ups throughout the day)

The packaging feels very high end but with only a $6.48 price tag (prices may vary).  I found mine at my local Walmart but you can also find it at any drug store.  So if you decide to try this and end up not liking it, you won't have buyers remorse!

I hope this helps someone out there!!

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

The new Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation – My shade in 230 Warm Ivory

SMART-TONE TM technology adapts to the colour and texture of skin.
Flawless natural finish.
With an Oxygen Complex.
Lets your skin breathe.

I was skeptical with this foundation… I'm not a believer in the "Smart Tone Technology" but I wanted to be proved wrong!
I found this product to be a lighter coverage foundation then I was hoping for. It's very smooth and blends easily. It went on beautifully with my Sigma flat top kabuki. It didn't dry to fast on my face so I could take my time with it. I did have to wait till it dried completely to set it with powder. It looked wonderful when it was first applied… After about 2 to 3 hours of wear, I noticed that it became very splotchy! Especially around my nose, eyes and chin (my oiliest places). The weird thing about this foundation, at least this happened on my skin, it made random spots flaky and dry…??? (I think I'll chalk this one up to hormones tho… lol)
However, it's probably a great choice for the younger, fresher faced crowd… Teenagers and 20 something's. If you have more mature skin, I would pass on this one.

I hope this helps someone J

Ulta Extreme Wear Mousse Foundation

The First foundation I'm going to review is the Ulta brand mousse foundation.

I have to say that I was really hoping that this product was a huge thumbs up for me! I love the feel of the "mousiness" texture. The soft, fluffy feel has always been appealing to me. However, I've never tried a product like this before. When the new L'Oreal mousse came out I really wanted to try it but the price tag of $15.99 was a total turn off to me. (I'm not sure why I've never thought to purchase the Maybelline Mousse's?? hmmm… interesting lol)

Alas, while walking around Ulta I realized they were having a buy 2 Ulta brand products, get 2 Ulta Brand product free!! So I picked this up, along with some Ulta nail polish and makeup brushes (which I LOVE)
But I'm sad to say that it isn't on my list of favorite foundation to wear.
I applied this with my F80 Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki Brush (Sigma Click to see brush), and it went on beautifully initially. My face looked very matte and flawless… for about 30 minutes! Even with my Smashbox photo finish face primer!! Grrr….

I tend to have oily/combination skin and this product totally brought out the shine on my face. It literally only lasted on my face for roughly 30 minutes. The oils on my face just ate right through this stuff! Also I realized that up close, this settled in every fine line on my face. Even swatching this on my hand I can see it in every nook and cranny on my hand.

I am not every happy with this product at all! But I'm not willing to give up on it just yet. I'm going to try it again with different primers and during the summer months… I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
